Chelsea Point is located in the great Tremont neighborhood. This community boasts a unique mix of architectural styles including many historic buildings and homes. Tremont once hosted the city's first institution of higher learning - Cleveland University - which operated in the neighborhood from 1851 to 1853. Many of the current street names such as “Professor”, “College”, “Literary”, and “University” harken back to this time period.
